Thanks David Archuleta, you save my life every day. Without you I would be stone cold.
Because of David: I enjoy music once again. I enjoy knowing that David realizes he has a gift and to whom he is to be thankful. I am instantly cheerful when I listen to him. I'm glad to know that good things can happen to good people. I wish only great things for David and I will continue to follow him on his magnificent journey. I am alive because of this boys soul and spirit.
The Judgement Free Zone
------ by Kathleen
David Archuleta has so many wonderful character qualities. One character quality that has stood out, is the one in which he never judges another. He only has good things to say about everyone. Even when he has been backed into a corner by an interviewer, David maintains his ability to stay positive and say only the nicest things in any situation. This was the case when he was asked by an interviewer to comment on American Idol Season 8 Runner up, Adam Lambert and his sexuality. Recently in the news, Adam revealed that he is gay. David gave his thoughts about it, and then he went on tell the interviewer, " I know it's always interesting and surprising and shocking [to people] when they say those things, but that's up to them, it's their lives." He then added that he thought Adam was a great guy and that he respected him as a performer. For David to say such things just shows what a special young man he is. David doesn't venture into judging the person's action, but rather focuses on the good qualities of the person. He doesn't lay judgement on Adam. Instead, he finds a way to answer the interviewers question in a simple non-judgemental way. Then he goes on to say something nice. There have been other examples of David's tolerant nature, this was just the latest one.I remember when David was on American Idol. Sometimes the judges were harsh on the other contestants but David never had anything negative to say, he always found the best in all of his fellow contestants. He would focus on the good things about the people around him. He remained fair and impartial through out it all. Even when the judges and the media would prod him, trying to lead him into saying something unkind about another contestant or celebrity, David never wavered. He never fell into their trap. Instead, he would find something kind to say, he would stay upbeat and say only the most positive things about everyone and everything. There have been other times when David has been pressed by the media to say something unfavorable about another star, but David is true to himself, and never gives in. He remains non-judgemental and replies with an answer that always leaves the interviewer commenting on "What a nice guy" David Archuleta is!I recall another example of David showing his impartial side. It was during the American Idol concert tour last summer. One day during a pre-show meet and greet while David was signing autographs, he overheard some fans commenting negatively about a popular singing group known as The Jonas Brothers. The fans were saying some rather unkind things about them, and when David heard these fan's comments, he said something like "Oh, I like them... they are really nice guys!" How many other stars might have gloated upon hearing their fans say something negative about a another singer? They might have stood back and listened, but I am not so sure they would have jumped in and come to their defense. But with David, I really do believe he is the exception. He heard the comments and tried to set the record straight so that these fans would know that he did not feel that way. He is a class act. There have been many incidences of David talking about others in a kind way, making sure to let others know he never judges. Again and again, David Archuleta has shown in interviews that he looks at the good, he tries to focus on the positive and does what he can to avoid saying anything negative. David accepts people for who they are. He stays in the judgement free zone every time!

SANDY, UT (Thursday, April 16, 2009) - Utah’s state-of-the-art Rio Tinto Stadium is proud to announce the venue’s June 6 “CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME” event, a special Celebration of our Military featuring Utah musical sensation David Archuleta, the second leg of Real Salt Lake’s 2009 Rocky Mountain Cup series with rival Colorado Rapids, and the Official Dedication of the Stadium. Proceeds will benefit “Operation Warmheart,” serving Hill Air Force Base’s uniformed and non-uniformed personnel in need, and the Utah National Guard Charitable Trust, assisting Utah military families with various expenses that may arise during deployment of their Service member.
Archuleta, 18, will sing the National Anthem prior to Real Salt Lake’s kickoff against Colorado and will provide the crowd with a special performance immediately following the game.

At soundcheck right now for the soccer game tomorrow.
Finally finished with soundcheck. But sheesh! this allergy season! No bueno
Excited for tonight! Singing the National Anthem at the Real game at 7:30, and then performing after the game for Charity Begins at Home.
Yep, it's at the Rio Tinto Stadium! I'll be singing after the game. And Charity At Home is honoring our troops.
At the Rio Tinto Stadium, going to sing the national anthem soon.
Neither Colorado nor Utah has scored yet, but getting ready for my performance. A little jittery!
Real Salt Lake GOOAAL
3 minutes left and Colorado makes a goal haha. We'll see how it ends
So it ended a tie... But I'll be going on soon! I'm excited!

Touch My Hand
There will always be a gigantic place in my musical soul for David Archuleta, no matter how successful he is in the eyes of the mainstream pop music industry. His voice is undeniable, and his aura just makes you want to smile and root for him. Part of my, shall we say, obsession last season was watching interview after interview and reading article after article about that kid. I almost feel like I know him personally. He is a genuinely good guy who avoids confrontation, appreciates every opportunity that comes his way and likes to create music with meaning. I have so much respect for him and look up to him in so many ways, despite him being :LOADS" of years younger than I am. Plus, he’s a fantastic role model for the youth of today.

David Archuleta visits with
President Thomas S. Monson
President Thomas S. Monson invited David Archuleta to visit him in his office March 27 when the teen singer was in Salt Lake City in preparation for a concert that evening in West Valley City, Utah. The "American Idol" runner-up and his parents, Jeff and Lupe Marie Archuleta, were visiting another office in the Church Administration Building when
the invitation was extended to visit with President Monson. The young singer treated President Monson and his office staff to an impromptu concert in a board room in the Administration Building. He sang "How Great Thou Art" from the LDS Hymnal. One office staff member said the rendition was "phenomenal."

* His Mom- Video Tribute

Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. ~Marion C. Garretty
When David Archuleta appeared on The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet , he noted that his mom is “kinda like me…you know…awkward …” He spontaneously declared, “I love my mom.”
It was a beautiful moment, to say the least, and had I been Juliet Huddy, I would have given David a standing ovation for that comment.
With the intense media focus on Jeff Archuleta, David’s mother Lupe, a stunningly beautiful mother of five, has managed to stay out of the spotlight throughout the arduous weeks of American Idol frenzy. While Jeff provided guardianship for David in Hollywood and currently on the tour, Lupe cares for the other four children back home in Murray, Utah, coping with everyday life amidst the surreality of the American Idol spotlight. A little about Lupe: she emigrated from her hometown of San Pedro Sula, Cortes, Honduras, and she sings in both English and Spanish and dances (and particularly enjoys salsa and merengue , according to David).

Lupe, how can David’s fans begin to thank you? You have raised a son who has inspired us with his humility, sincerity, and his unwavering faith. Your steadfast love and sacrifice has enabled David to share his gift with us, but I can only try to imagine how it must feel for you, as his mother, to be able to relinquish him enough to share him with the world. There must be a mixture of excitement and wistfulness as you begin this process of letting him go. David’s dream is coming true–he is going to reach millions with his music–but life for you and your family is forever transformed. I have been thinking about you during this time of transition, and I’m so glad to know that you have your faith and your family and your good friends and community to sustain you. Please know that the FanBlast family admires your remarkable grace under pressure, and we thank you for the phenomenal mother that you are.
Take a moment to watch my Lupe video!
